Manufacture of custom infrared windows for ISAE-ENSMA
The Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique et d’Aérotechnique (ENSMA) is one of 204 engineering schools in France. ISAE-ENSMA, which develops research and training activities, is recognized as one of the best schools in the aeronautics sector.
As part of the thesis on the operation of the flowmeters at CESAME-EXADEBIT, the doctoral student Mr Zebrowski wanted to have three infrared windows manufactured: two viewing windows and a specific window to withstand 40 bar pressure.
Wintech Groupe designed and manufactured two custom-made infrared windows in BK7 glass (objective: to be able to “watch” the experiment through) and an infrared window in Sapphire resistant to 40 bar.
Results obtained thanks to special custom-made IR windows
The custom-made infrared windows in BK7 glass and Sapphire have demonstrated their resistance and high mechanical resistance to vibrations:
- Optimal measurement of flow meter operation thanks to IR windows.
- Realization and validation of the experiment.
