For 30 years, we have been making custom-made optical windows for scientists in universities and R&D departments in diverse sectors such as engineering, mechanics aeronautics or defence.

We offer the study, design and fulfilment of your optical and optomechanical projects (crystal and flange). We advise you on the feasibility and choice of materials in accordance with your specifications.

Fields of application and use for special optical windows

The special optical windows have various functions and fields of application. They allow you to have risk-free experiences in an environment with previously defined constraints (pressure, abrasion, temperatures, etc…).

Our special optical windows can be set up on different equipment such as climatic or high-pressure chambers, furnaces, wind tunnels, on-board optical windows (aeronautical, marine, defence).

The special optical windows adapt to different operating wavelengths: ultraviolet, visible, infrared. They also enable preservation or resistance to a vacuum or ultra-high vacuum.

Optical materials used for special optical windows

The optical materials (crystal, glass and ceramics) used for special optical windows are adapted according to the temperature, pressure and spectral domain. They are polycrystalline or monocrystalline.

They are made from various materials: ZnSe, Sapphire, Germanium, Quartz, CaF2, Silica, Pyrex, sintered MgF2, BaF2, etc.
