Infrared Window – IR Windows

The infrared window (IR window) is a Wintech Groupe innovation. Our IR windows are known for their performances and tested technological quality in many industrial sectors and research departments (businesses, engineering schools, public scientific organisations).

The infrared window is made of an optical crystal and a frame. It is a case of an optomechanical package which allows control by thermography. Wintech Groupe designs, creates and produces three ranges of infrared windows meeting the specific requirements regarding the applications of measures and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment.

HVIR®

H.VIR® infrared windows allow for the thermographic maintenance of electrical equipment. The H.VIR® window is the only one in the world to be equipped with a Wideband crystal covering the field of use of all cameras in the market (0.3 µm to 13 µm).

H.VIS Electric Eye®

H.VIS Electric Eye® infrared windows are mainly dedicated to the visual monitoring of electrical equipment. They can also be used for thermography but only with shortwave cameras.

FMIR

FMIR infrared windows are exclusively reserved for use in measurements. They are not adapted to vacuums or elevated pressure. Standardised range with choice of assembling criteria.

The range of H.VIR® IR window (infrared window): inspection windows intended for the thermographic maintenance of electrical equipment (transformers, switchgear, busbar, motors). Thanks to H.VIR® infrared windows (IR windows), it is possible to carry out maintenance testing on live equipment using thermography. Equipped with infrared cameras, thermographic technicians and operators have real protection from electrical arcs (start of fire).

The range of HVIS IR window (infrared window): inspection windows intended for visual monitoring. The H.VIS Electric Eye® infrared windows (IR windows) are optomechanical packages composed of an optic and a frame. The main objective of the H.VIS Electric Eye® IR window is to allow for visual inspection of electrical equipment. However, it can also be used for thermography, but with shortwave cameras (3 to 5 µm) only.

The range of FMIR IR window (infrared window): standardised interface windows allowing for measures intended for use in research and industry. You can create your FMIR infrared windows (IR windows) by choosing the following assembling criteria (viewing diameter, mechanical frame material, minimum and maximum spectral domain, temperature range). The standardised FMIR infrared window (IR windows) is the fruit of our long experience in optics and optomechanics.
