R&D: Research and Development
Research institutes, engineering schools and the research departments of major companies represent one of the strong cornerstones of Wintech Groupe’s activity. In fact, for several decades of years, SOREM has accompanied more than 1000 research and development projects with students, engineers, researchers and professors.
Fortified with a long experience in the industrial optic sector, SOREM notably contributed to the worldwide development of methods for CaF2 and MgF2 (former patents).
SOREM’s customers include prestigious engineering schools (Polytechnique, Ecole des Mines, etc.), public scientific research bodies (CNRS) and R&D departments of the biggest French and European companies (Safran, Airbus, Thales, SNCF, CEA, Ariane Group etc…).
Examples of custom-made optical windows and precision optics:
- Creation of an optomechanical set of 10 CaF2-UV blades of a dimension of Ø890 mm for a Cherenkov detector for CERN.
- Manufacturing of polycarbonate optomechanical and ZnSe items for the CEA.
